Residential Property - Block Paved Driveway & Natural Stone Patio

Single car space block paved driveway and a fairly small natural stone rear patio, was in need of our attention.

WEEDS WEEDS AND MORE WEEDS!

Where do we start! This block paved rear patio hadn't been cleaned for over a decade but the home owner did take care of the weeds until a few years ago...

Deep cleaned using the mighty force of our custom built cleaning system, then chemically cleaned to remove the Black Spot Lichen. Lastly it was re-sanded and we applied our weed inhibitor to prevent any weeds from germinating. Thank you for reviewing our Facebook page and reminding me to post this. Driveway with plenty of moss!

We got a call from an elderly couple who wanted their driveway brought back to life. After visiting the property and going through the steps with them as we always do, they were super excited about us removing the moss and years of grime as it seemed such a task!

Pressure Rotary Cleaned, Chemically Treated, all surrounding areas thoroughly rinsed and back the next day to re-sand and apply our weed inhibitor - Very happy customer

Very Slippery Sandstone Patio in need of a good clean!

With no direct access to this patio, we had to park our vehicle at the front of the customers property and run our hoses 100m along a side alley that lead to the back garden enabling us to work our magic. From then on, we transformed this patio using our rotary surface cleaner and used our chemical surface cleaning system which got into the pours of the stone safely removing all the black lichen and algae without risk of damaging the surface. Check out the results!

Block Paving - Weeds Pressure Washed Out

No more weeds!

Last week one of our jobs was to clean a driveway in Enfield that had suffered with weeds. Unfortunately the lady was tricked into having the whole driveway re-laid onto a membrane which she thought would stop the weeds germinating. WRONG! This is false statement made by those who will trick homeowners into thinking a membrane is needed beneath. It's a shame yet again we have come across this as the client was very upset about the expense and the driveway was never re-laid how it was first put down. Weeds start out as tiny spores that are blown onto your driveway which nestle into the gaps between the block pavers. No matter what membrane is laid beneath a surface, it cannot prevent the weeds from germinating above the surface. A membrane will though prevent the weeds growing down deeper and stronger which can sometimes unsettle the ground as the root grows deeper but this is very severe. We're currently conducting our own method of weed control using organic methods without the use of herbicides, so unfortunately I will not be posting anything about weed prevention for now until we have solid evidence and results that back up our conclusion.
